21% Chick Starter

This certified organic product was developed for chicks ages, day 1 to 8 weeks old. As soon as your chicks hatch they will be hungry for feed that it’s formulated to provide them with the nutrients they need. Our certified organic chick starter is a special blend of ground organic grains and the necessary vitamins and minerals. This feed provides chicks with enough protein to jump start their growth and also includes plenty of vitamins and minerals to provide for healthy development. Peterson Organic Feeds chick starter contains no medications or antibiotics. This product is a loose feed.
Feeding Directions- A free-feed dining option is the best & most common in backyard flocks. Chicks will eat in small increments at their leisure throughout the day. Provide fresh water at all times.

19% Grower / Broiler

This certified organic product is meant for all chickens ages 8 weeks to 18 weeks. At 8 weeks old, your chicks growth rate will start to slow and these adolescent chickens should be provided with a grower ration containing 17 to 19% protein, slightly less than starter. We lower the protein at this age because high protein can rush a adolescent chicken’s developing body into egg-laying before it is ready. This product is a loose feed. Peterson Organic Feeds Organic Broiler ration contains no medications or antibiotics.
Feeding directions – A free fee dining option is the best and most common in backyard flocks. Pullets will eat in small increments at their Leisure throughout the day. Provide fresh water at all times.

18% Layer

Our certified organic layer feeds are designed to be the healthiest and most most natural product available for your laying hens. Our Layer Feed contains high amounts of calcium and slightly lower protein levels than our Organic Grower. Calcium is used by hens to produce strong eggshells and should only be fed to birds that are laying or will play in the near future. Layer feed should not be fed to chickens younger than 18 weeks unless they have begun egg-laying because it contains Calcium that can permanently damage the kidneys. This product is a loose feed. Peterson Organic Feeds Organic Layer rations contains no medications or antibiotics.
Feeding Directions – A free feed dining option is the best and most common in backyard floss. Chickens will eat in small increments at their Leisure throughout the day. Chickens have a unique digestive system that can only accommodate a small amount of food at a time. Provide fresh water at all times.
